Ghanaian social media personality and actress Efia Odo has responded strongly to recent posts by musician Kwesi Arthur regarding a podcast episode featuring her.
To put the matter to rest and clear her name as well, Efia Odo has finally released the video of the podcast episode in question.
In the video, the socialite never confirmed that she ever dated Kwesi Arthur when the two other hosts of the show pushed her.
However, the point she was clearly heard making was that they only had a ‘friendship friendship’.
This whole brouhaha started when in the early hours of August 9, 2024, Kwesi Arthur took to Twitter to express his displeasure, accusing Efia Odo of “ruining his reputation” by frequently mentioning his name to gain attention.
He hinted at taking legal action to address the situation.
Efia Odo on her path also did not hold back in her response. In a series of tweets, she expressed her frustration over what she called a misinterpretation of her comments on the podcast.
She firmly denied ever saying that she and Kwesi Arthur dated, pointing out that her remarks were taken out of context and blown out of proportion.
In one of her tweets, she stated, “You no watch the thing but ranting cuz of bits and pieces you saw on social media. You gotta be smarter than that. God has saved me cuz if not!!!!!! Peace be unto you.”
She didn’t stop there. Efia Odo went on to call Kwesi Arthur out for reacting without watching the full episode, which she said would have cleared up any misunderstandings. “Dumb*ss ain’t even watch the show now you’re looking goofy exposing yourself. Feeling guilty much?” she added.
Efia Odo also took the opportunity to criticize media outlets and journalists for their inaccurate reporting. She urged them to verify facts before publishing stories that could potentially damage someone’s reputation. “Y’all gotta do better. If you’re gonna write about me, at least get the facts straight. This is how people get hurt over lies,” she said in her usual candid style.
