The writer is Osei Chris Kofi. I have three strong passions in life — football, blogging and movies — in that order. I love spending time with friends talking about the important things in life and hate nothing more than ‘authority’ and hypocrisy. My personal believe in life is that once an individual sets his/her mind to achieve something, it is totally possible. And oh!, I am a strong Lannister, because I always pay my debt. One of the activities that climaxed Obaapa Christy’s 11th album launch was the re-launch of her ministry. One distinguishing feature of Obaapa Christy’s ministry is that She believes hers is a calling and for that matter prefers to be called the ROC CALL (Reverend Obaapa Christy’s Calling).

“The name emerged after I was ordained a reverend minister. My team and I have fervently prayed about it and I believe now is the time. My calling (ministry) is to give hope to the hopeless and provide for the poor and needy. It is my prayer that God will continuously use me to touch lives and give to the needy. My name is still Obaapa Christy but my ministry is now the ROC CALL.”

In explaining further Obaapa Christy opined “everything I do is spiritual with biblical interpretations. For instance; during my album launch the logo on the t-shirt was a butterfly with my portrait in it. The Christian religion sees the butterfly as a symbol of resurrection. Around the world, people view the butterfly as a representation of endurance, change, hope, and life. My prayer that day was that every soul that came to witness the album launch would see positive change in their lives. My new logo is no exception, with in-depth biblical meanings.”

In a colorful ceremony which was officiated by Apostle Abraham Lamptey, Apostle Oko Hackman, Rev. & Rev. Mrs. Francis Adjei and a host of pastors, Obaapa was prayed for and ushered into her calling (ministry).
