Manager of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has stepped down as head coach.
The news of his resignation has been confirmed by authoritative UK sports media company, Sky News.
His resignation comes at the of Ghana’s loss to Uruguay, eventually missing out on the next stage of the World Cup.
Otto Addo took over management of the Black Stars side in February 2022 as an interim head coach.
In March 2022, he qualified Ghana to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after drawing with the Super Eagles of Nigeria home and away.
In Qatar, Otto Addo lost his first match against Portugal and went on to beat South Korea in the second group match games. That victory made Addo the first Ghanaian coach to win a match at the FIFA World Cup.
Unfortunately, the Black Stars lost against Uruguay in their final group match, missing out of the round of 16 stage.
