Ghana-based Nigerian producer, Pascal Amanfo has revealed his reason for ditching a career in acting to become a movie producer.
The popular director and script writer was speaking at the press conference of his latest movie “40 Looks Good On You” about challenges he faced in the industry.
Pascal Amanfo told media men and all those present that when he started out in the industry about 19 years ago as an actor, it was very difficult for him to get roles in movies.
As a result, he switched his focus to writing scripts and even that, he struggled initially till he finally found his feet.
The Nigerian film director said that there were times when he asked himself if it was all worth it especially when all his mates in the industry were doing so well and he was still chasing actors with his scripts.
Pascal Amanfo just released his latest movie titled “40 Looks Good On You” which is a star-studded movie featuring Ghanaian and Nigerian actors such as Uche Jumbo, John Dumelo, Selassie Ibrahim, Frederick Leonard, Roselyn Ngissah, Shaffy Bello and songstress Stephanie Benson.
The movie is about five best friends who met during University days and made a pact to succeed in life no matter what before they hit 40 years.
The much-anticipated movie will premiere on June 21, 2019, at the Westhill Mall and Silverbird Cinemas.
