A Ghanaian radio presenter has ignited a debate barely a day after Patience Nyarko tagged Joe Mettle as someone who is known for sampling Methodist and Pentecost Church hymns.
In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, Adom FM’s Mike 2 said Patient Nyarko is more popular than Joe Mettle in Ghana.
He wrote on Facebook: “Patience Nyarko is more popular than Joe Mettle in Ghana….”
His comment comes on the heel of Patience Nyarko assertion that Joe Mettle is being overhyped.
“Joe Mettle has not gotten to where he’s being placed by the public. The way people are lifting him up there, he’s not gotten there yet…”
“How many English songs does Joe Mettle have? Is it not Pentecost and Methodist songs that he sings? If these churches decide to stop people from singing their songs, what would be the fate of Joe Mettle?” she said during a submission on Onua FM’s Anigye Mmere hosted by Christian Agyei Frimpong.
