Ghanaian music sensation, Kuami Eugene found himself in a harrowing situation on the night of Sunday, March 17, 2024, as he was involved in a traffic accident at CP, close to the DSTV office towards the Dzowulu traffic light in Accra.
The award-winning musician sustained some minor injuries after ramming his range rover with registration number, GC- 220-21 into a tipper truck.
In a report sighted on myjoyonline, the Editor for Modern Ghana news portal, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri happened to have witnessed the accident.
According to Emmanuel, he was behind the “Monica” hitmaker’s car when the accident occurred around 11:30 pm.
He further disclosed that when the accident occurred he noticed that Kuami Eugene shared the car with another male passenger.
“I was behind him, and so I was the first person to rush to his rescue. Kwame was struggling to come out so I brought him out of the car and helped the passenger too, before some guys also came around. I arranged for a vehicle to convey them to the UGMC hospital.”
Emmanuel also told myjoyonline that the tipper truck was in motion but moving slowly when the musician crashed into it from behind and added that he believes the accident occurred because the N1 highway is dark due to poor lighting, while the tipper truck also lacked tail light, thereby worsening visibility.
The Modern Ghana news portal editor Ajarfor went on to disclose tha he placed a call to the Ghana Police Service for officers at the Achimota Police Station, who came to the scene and towed Kuami Eugene’s car away.
Currently, Kuami Eugene is said to have broken his arm as a cut was visible with blood on his hands. He also had a cut on his lips, the leg and an injury in the hip.
