Maame Sika Ayiwa has alleged that her producer assigned to her in the pageant attempted to have sex with her during the 2015 Ghana’s Most Beautiful competition.
According to her, the producer who was also a staff of TV3 assured to help her sail smoothly through the competition if she allows him to sleep with her.
Sika, however, stated that she was dubious about the whole sex issue proposed to her. She also indicated that during their predecessors, such issue wasn’t new to the house of the pageant at that time.
She expressed that young girls who are luckily picked for the competition sometimes become desperate to win so such people easily fall to such demands.
‘If you’re stupid enough to sleep with him then he will… he can sleep with all ten’
In an interview with Anita Kuma on Kumasi-based Luv FM, sighted by Zionfelix.net, Sika disclosed to the host that, the staff made the competition unbearable for her but she managed to overcome it.
‘My producer was so mean to me through the competition and even threatened me. He came all the way to Kumasi, met my family told them I was going to get evicted from the house’.
However, she didn’t mention the name of the producer who was behind the program during her time but divulged that he was a senior at TV3.
“I wasn’t actually picked at the Kumasi audition and I had to talk to one of the judges so that is when the problem started. The judge told me he was going to help me train so I pick for the Accra audition and indirectly they hook me up with someone and the person they linked me to also asked me to come to his house and that was not the right thing to be done so I didn’t go and he freaked out on me”, Sika revealed
Sika was part of the final four who made it to the grand finale of the 2015 edition of the beauty pageant, with the ultimate prize going to Esi of the Central Region.
Over the past few weeks, some Ghanaian beauty pageants have received massive backlashes for what contestants have described as rots on the part of the organizers.
Three former winners of Miss Ghana, Stephanie Karikari; Giuseppina Baafi and Antoinette Delali Kemavor, also made serious allegations against Inna Patty and Miss Ghana last year. The three are reported to have described the beauty pageant as an “escort agency” rather than a beauty contest.
Also, Winner of the 2017 edition of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant Margaret Dery resigned hours to the launch of the 2018 edition of the pageant.
The beauty queen, who was crowned on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra, said she is no longer interested in holding the office as Ghana’s beauty queen.
