Bisa Kdei & Nikki Samonas on TV Africa

After highlife singers, Kumi Guitar and Paa Kwasi formerly of Dobble music group fame dirtied themselves with diss songs over nonexisting titles like highlife God, Highlife Mu  Martin Luther King, and many others, 32-year-old singer Ronald Kwaku Dei Appiah a.k.a Bisa Kdei is also out saying he has been given the title Highlife King.

The musician who recently launched his third studio album, Highlife Connect speaking on TV Africa Friday morning with fear disclosed that he is not claiming highlife king title. Explaining why he fails to call himself Highlife King, the ‘Mansa’ hitmaker divulged that he does not want Ghanaians including other highlife singers to chase him with insults.

Bisa Kdei, however, told Nikki Samonas, host of the Breakfast Live morning show on TV Africa that people have been tagging him Highlife King and he accepts it because he has been pushing the agenda of the genre for long.

“I’ve never said I am highlife king only for Ghanaians to come and beat me the following day. It is a good thing when they call me highlife king and I accept it like that”. he said

He continued to tell Ghanaians that the highlife genre is not dead so the constant talk that it is dead should cease.
