Ghanaian radio presenter, entertainment critic/writer, Kojo Preko Dankwa is disappointed in Ghana Standards Authority for using an image of a perceived white lady for a COVID-19 precautionary message on a billboard.

In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, Kojo Preko, who plies his trade for Class Media Group bemoaned why GSA would shun showbiz personalities in the country and settle on a foreigner’s image to carry out such a message to the Ghanaian populace.

Not too sure about the nationality of the person whose image was used, the popular media personality said he stands to be corrected but if his guess was right, then the Ghana Standards Authority’s decision was not the best.

Meanwhile, the message on the billboard cautioned people to avoid touching their eyes, mouth and nose with unwashed hands.

“On my way to the office this morning, I took a critical look at this billboard right at Ghana Standards Authority office. What I find not too well is not the message but the image (photo). So is GSA saying they couldn’t get any of our showbiz personalities/celebrities image to use or we still in the business of not using our celebrities for billboards so will rather go with this? I stand for correction maybe the personality(image) is a Ghanaian. If [I] am wrong please folks correct me. The attitude of using foreign images for commercials instead of our own ….hmmm just thinking aloud,” Kojo Preko Dankwa wrote on Facebook.
