Reggae and dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has revealed the big secret behind his Freedom song which has gained massive airplay in the past days.
The single produced by Willis Beatz according to many “does not make sense” judging from the few words he uttered. According to critics, Shatta Wale just mentioned “Freedom” and “My name is Shatta Wale” which makes the song go into the records of Ghanaian music as one of the “useless songs” ever recorded but some also argue that it is creativity.
Shatta Wale in a chat with Jerry Justice on Adom FM in Accra has confessed that he entered the booth to record the ‘Freedom’ tune because Patapaa was making waves with his ‘One Corner’. The SM4LYF boss revealed that he initially wanted to give the song to the Agona Swedru-based musician but changed plans later because he, Patapaa worried him in 2017 with his only hit single.
“Let me confess today. Patapaa worried me a lot so he made me record the freedom song. I wanted to give the song to him but I changed my plan later. I’m saying this and God knows that I am not lying. That is how smart I am.
Patapaa’s One corner got me asking why God didn’t bring the hit song to Accra but took it to Swedru. Tell Patapaa I love him so much.” Zionfelix.net heard champion Wale tell the host of the drive-time show.
