Renowned Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah who is popularly called Uncle Fredyma has sadly disclosed how he nearly took his own life back in 2015.

Uncle Fredyma made this revelation in reaction to a post popular blogger/vlogger, Zion Felix made on Facebook advising people not to consider suicide as an option no matter how bad the situation they find themselves in.

According to Uncle Fredyma, he thought about it and nearly took his life back in 2015 after the infamous flood and fire disaster took away the studio which was his only source of livelihood at the time.

He added that the songs of Joseph Mensah, Bro Sammy, and Celestine Donkor saved him from the depression, stress, neglect, and poverty he was facing at the time.

Uncle Fredyma’s full post reads: ‘I almost tried suicide during the lowest ebb of my life in June 2015 when i lost the work that feeds me through the flood and fire disaster in Accra.Joseph Mensah and Bro Sammy’s song, 3nkaakyire and Adekye y3 mu nsem by Celestine Donkor II,saved me.Depression, stress, neglect and poverty are some of the factors.’
