Ghanaian media personality and politician, Roman Father, has announced his intention to contest in the 2028 presidential election.

The former vice-presidential candidate to the late Akua Donkor made this declaration during her funeral ceremony.

In an interview, Roman Father expressed admiration for the late Akua Donkor, describing her as a woman of great substance and courage for competing in a male-dominated political landscape.

He acknowledged her pivotal role in shaping the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) and lamented the impact of her passing on the party’s performance in the last general election.

Despite the setback, Roman father affirmed that both he and the Ghana Freedom Party will actively participate in the 2028 elections as a way to honor and sustain Akua Donkor’s legacy.

“Contesting in the next general election is the best way I can ensure the legacy of the late Akua Donkor lives forever,” he stated.
