Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has been one of the most-talked-about entertainment personalities in the country since Monday, 19th June 2023, after Yvonne Nelson revealed that he impregnated her.
The CEO of YN Productions revealed in her memoir titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ disclosed that the rapper impregnanted her in 2010 but he asked her to abort the pregnancy because he wasn’t ready to be a father.

“I had gone for a pregnancy test to confirm what becomes the most obvious conclusion for a sexually active young woman who misses her monthly flow. I was in the company of Karen. And when the test result was ready, I wasn’t strong enough to open it. She did and declared the verdict. Charlie, it dey there!…Sarkodie was a budding musician with the potential to become one of the biggest artists in Ghana and beyond. At the time, however, the future looked uncertain, and his way through the maze of life still appeared too foggy to predict. Success was not guaranteed. He was still living with his mother and was not ready to carry a burden while he was being carried by his mother. “I wouldn’t call what had developed between us a serious relationship. I gravitated toward people in the music industry. For the longest time in my life, music was my getaway from all the unpleasant things life threw at me. So, I liked his talent. We started talking and got close. Closer,” parts of the book say.

Well, in a rather surprising turn of events, Sarkodie has come to react to the these claims and say his truth.
Even though the CEO of Sarkcess Music is one person who hardly speaks about issues about him that mostly pop up on social media, this time around he has enterted the studio and record a diss song for Yvonne Nelson and set the records straight as well.
In a song he titles ‘Try Me’ which was released on Wednesday, Sarkodie disclosed that he was never the one who asked Yvonne Nelson to abort the pregnancy in the first place.

According to him, the award-winning actress decided to do the abortion herself with the claim that she was still in school.
Sarkodie went further to reveal that he was skeptical about the claims in the first place because when he asked that his doctor also check if it was true that Yvonne Nelson was indeed pregnant, the actress flatly denied and mentioned that she had a friend who was willing to help her get ride of the baby.
He did not end there, Sarkodie again suggested that he was not the only one having an affiar with Yvonne Nelson at the time so it is even likely that he was not the father of the baby at the time the actress claims he got her pregnant.
Sarkodie hilariously added Yvonne Nelson acted smart to include him in the memoir to get the sales going because it appears it has worked out and added that he has even gotten a copy of the book himself.
