Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall star Samini has openly criticized rapper Sarkodie again, calling him disrespectful and two-faced.

Samini expressed his disappointment with Sarkodie’s behaviour, especially regarding collaborations with older artists.

During an interview on The Day Show with host Berla Mundi, Samini revealed that he had asked Sarkodie for a collaboration, but the response was unsatisfactory. When questioned about it, Samini claimed that Sarkodie avoided the topic.

You can’t take Samini lightly anyhow,” he asserted during the interview. “Until he shows remorse and comes to me to say, be like the way I do Badman ‘I be like ano try, Badman vex and come and make ano say, ano try,” he said.

In the conversation with Berla Muni, he continued that “until then he and I we no be cool….He is a two-faced person who will make the public believe I don’t know what I am saying on Twitter when I actually know what I am saying and then I come and ask you questions and then you can’t answer“.

Samini emphasized the importance of respecting older artists in the industry, especially for up-and-coming talents. He wanted to send a message to young artists that disrespect should not be tolerated, particularly when established artists seek collaboration.

I want young artists to know that it’s not okay to be disrespectful. When you’re asked about something, don’t try to mislead people and make them think the complainer is making things up,” Samini explained.

I responded to him based on how he treated me before, which made me doubt his respect for legends like myself. Having a ‘blue tick’ doesn’t mean I should assume you respect me after you’ve played games with me, despite my quick response to your requests.

This public dispute follows Samini’s earlier complaints about Sarkodie not responding to his collaboration request for the 2021 Burning-EP and when asked on a radio interview he shrugged off the topic.

Samini mentioned that he contributed his part to the track “Love Rock” for free, but when he needed Sarkodie’s help, he didn’t get it.
