The CEO of Sarkcess music and Africa’s most decorated rapper in terms of awards, Sarkodie have issued a public apology on behalf of Ruftown Records music signee after she went viral for telling Joy News entertainment news presenter MzGee that a question she put to her was dumb.
Sarkodie in a post sighted by zionfelix.net on his twitter handle states that Wendy Shay made a big mistake and should be forgiven. Even though Wendy Shay and her boss, Bullet have declined to speak on the matter publicly, Sarkodie adds that she made the mistake of making those comments in the heat of the moment and as such his decision to apologize on behalf of Shay to Joy News and MzGee.
The Sarkcess music boss wrote:
“Not to endorse what Lil sis Wendy did but as artistes we’ve had days like that especially coming up in the beginning, takes time to gain full confidence and the knowledge to be able to maneuver our way through this job easily She acted on the human reflex forgetting the job she’s in At a point you feel people are after you and you get extra sensitive to almost everything and that can even affect those who have no intentions or agenda to cause harm and even affect yourself Through the whole interview l realized the state she was in because I’m an artiste too but definitely not the best of ways to deal with it. Would apologize to the interviewer and plead for our sis Mistakes happen let’s keep supporting”.

This current controversy Wendy Shay is caught up in is as a result of an interview she granted MzGee after her performance at the BF Suma Connect Concert 2018 where she was asked: “Who is Wendy Shay?” a question she thought wasn’t right and immediately described as the dumbest question she has ever been asked that the interview be cut off.
