Unfortunately, Ghanaians prefer to download music onto their phone than stream it each time they want to listen. This habit has been aided by some entertainment blogs whose main objective is to make music available to listeners for free.
Artistes have been complaining about the act lately with some threatening to employ law suits but to no avail. Shatta Wale has become the latest to join conversations around the habit.
In a tweet sighted by zionfelix.net, the “Gringo” hitmaker has asked bloggers not to upload his upcoming album for free downloads. He promised to reward those who would comply with his directive.
“Blogs that will not publish the song for free downloads will win something big !! but those who will try ….no free downloads , let’s all help to push the official links out there #BlowUp #GOGALBUM,” he tweeted.
The Gift of God album is Shatta Wale’s latest project which is expected to feature Skillibeng, Vybz Kartel and other top artistes.
