Controversial dancehall musician Shatta Wale after four years of not having a nomination at the annual Ghana Music Awards was added to the 19th edition of the event, zionfelix.net reported not long ago.
Known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker has reacted to the nominations he had for this year’s awards. Speaking to Kwasi Aboagye on Peace FM, the musician expressed joy when he was informed about the development.
When asked if he had no idea about the news, the outspoken singjay answered “yes”. He further disclosed that nobody had informed him about his nominations at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards.
Happy Shatta Wale opined that it feels great to be part of the awards.
“I’m happy. I’ll be good even if don’t win. I’ve missed sitting at the auditorium to watch the award” Zionfelix.net heard the Zylofon Media artiste say on the show.
Shatta Wale had several nominations at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards including the Artiste of The Year category. This year’s event is slated for April 14 at the Accra International Conference Center.
