Medikal’s first-ever self-organized concert dubbed ‘Welcome To Sowutuom’ received a lot of reactions on social media after it saw two surprise performances.
One of these surprises came from Strongman, who was involved in a serious lyrical beef with the AMG Business rapper just a few weeks to the concert which happened at the Kwashieman Park in Sowutuom, Accra.
The other, which became a topical issue was from Medikal’s ex, Sister Derby.
The performance of the two saw many people wonder why Sister Derby honored Medikal’s invitation after she was ditched her supposedly for a bigger bum and better cook in Fella Makafui.
In a recent interview with Lharley Lartey, Sister Derby finally revealed why she performed with Medikal.
The ‘Libilibi’ singer revealed she wasn’t angry prior to her performances, adding that it’s part of her work (as a musician).
“I was invited to perform,” she disclosed in an interview. “And I wasn’t angry so I questioned why people didn’t want me on the stage. And I do have a hit song with that person, and that’s my work.” She stated.
She added that it was an opportunity to project herself as a musician on a new stage, stressing she won’t turn down Medikal if he invites her to perform on BET Awards stage together.
“So, if the person was called to perform at BET Awards and he asks me to perform my verse, will I deny him?”
