Reagge/Dancehall heavyweight champion, Stonebwoy according to reports will lead a tall list of musicians for this year’s VGMAs nominees jam slated for March 23 at the Cape Coast Jubilee Park.
The announcement of the ‘Baafira’ hitmaker as the headline act for the upcoming event was made on Wednesday, March 15, the same day Zylofon Media communicated Stonebwoy as part of the record label despite the brouhaha which happened at the Champs Bar in Accra last Saturday. Zylofon Media’s press statement warned any individual or company which wants any of its artiste including Stonebwoy to contact them but not the entertainer and his team directly. But from what we are told, Charterhouse did not book the BHiM Nation president through the record label as the Nana Appiah Mensah-owned company stated in the Wednesday press release.
Owing to the fact that Stonebwoy performed at the Hall Week celebration of the Hilla Liman Hall at the University of Ghana on March 10 after dealing with the students through his Burniton Music team but not Zylofon Media, Zionfelix.net wanted to know if the VGMAs nominees jam deal was different.
George Quaye, PRO for Charterhouse and VGMAs speaking to this website was reluctant in telling us whether his outfit contracted Stonebwoy through Zylofon Media or not. According to him, he cannot reveal business discussions to the media hence his decision not to tell who they talked to before billing the BET award-winner for the show.
Reaching Zylofon Media on the same issue, Samuel Atuobi Baah, Head of Communication at the entertainment house told Zionfelix.net that they are not aware of the show their artiste will be performing on March 23 in the Central Region. Sammy Flex quickly added that he will not talk much about the issue at the time we called but at a later day.
Other performers are for the nominees jam include R2Bees, Kidi, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Kofi Kinaata, Teephlow, gospel show rockers Patience Nyarko and Gifty Osei, also known as Empress One, the six 2018 VGMA Unsung Acts and a lot more.
