The management of the renowned gospel music duo, Tagoe Sisters, extends their sincere and unreserved apologies to the veteran music producer and sound engineer, Zapp Mallet, for the unfortunate oversight in not inviting him to their 40th-anniversary celebration held at the Accra International Conference Centre on October 15, 2023.

In an interview with GhanaWeb on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Zapp Mallet expressed his disappointment at not receiving an official invitation to the event, despite his significant contribution to the Tagoe Sisters’ musical journey.

The celebrated producer, however, worked closely with the Tagoe Sisters in 1989, producing an album that played a pivotal role in shaping their success as musicians.

Nii Amarh Amarteifio, the manager and head of events for the Tagoe Sisters, acknowledged the oversight and described it as an “unpardonable mistake.” He emphasized that Zapp Mallet’s name had indeed been added to the list of VIP guests to be invited for both the events at the Underbridge and the Accra International Conference Centre. However, due to a regrettable error, the invitation was never extended.
