You might have read or heard that the first edition of the Worship Above Reason (W.A.R) gospel concert which happened at the New Dome at the Action Chapel had less than 100 people paying to a witness the show.
Ireva Consult, organisers of the show did not make a dime out of it after investing gargantuan cash into the show. CEO of Ireva Consult, Frank Kwabena Owusu popularly known as Franky5 has announced the total amount his outfit spent on the concert during a chat with Zionfelix on Radio Univers entertainment show, Brunch2Lunch.
Speaking on the Accra-based radio station Tuesday noon, Mr. Owusu told the show host that his outfit spent about Gh150,000 on the W.A.R concert which had low attendance on December 15 this year. According to him, the cost incorporates cash spent on auditorium, chairs, stage, light, sound and other miscellaneous expenses. Frank explained that he hired good logistics for the show because he believes the A-list gospel artistes billed for the concert deserved the best to help them worship and praise God.
“Zion, this is about GH150,000 budgeted event, it is not child’s play. Billing top-rated artistes for an event, you must have the best of logistics. You cannot just give them any platform to stand on because when they start to minister, they must reflect the presence of God. The presence of God does not dwell at any ordinary place, the place must be very expensive because our God is costly.” Franky5 explained to Zionfelix on the entertainment show.
The radio presenter further revealed that most of the materials rented for the show were not paid for so he is now planning on how to raise money to clear the cost.
“I’m still counting my loss. There are certain debts I need to clear and that is the truth. The things people saw at the event were not given to us for free. Everything we used at the auditorium were procured. We made part payment for some of the materials which we promised to pay after the show so if it didn’t go on well, I’ve to carry the cross and pay them”
