Ghanaian rapper-turned-singer, King Paluta, has sparked online discussions following a cryptic post about his involvement in the 2024 political campaign of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate.

In a tweet on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Aseda hitmaker suggested that some Ghanaians are still upset over the money he allegedly received from Dr. Bawumia during the election campaign.

“The money I took from Baweezy dier, epain boys ooo,” he tweeted, using a playful reference to Dr. Bawumia’s nickname, “Baweezy.”

King Paluta was actively involved in the NPP’s campaign, with his songs frequently played at political rallies.

However, it appears his association with the party has caused lingering resentment among some fans, especially as the TGMA Artiste of the Year race approaches.

Many online users believe his political affiliations might affect his chances of winning the coveted award, as some critics continue to express disappointment in his decision to align with a political figure.

Despite the backlash, King Paluta remains unfazed, using humor to address the controversy. Whether this will impact his career or award prospects remains to be seen.
