Former TV3 journalist Bridget Otoo has finally found her feet among the Metro TV crew after she was unveiled as a new addition to the staff at the TV Station.
Bridget Otoo was expected to broadcast the evening news yesterday after her unveiling but that wasn’t the case.
Shortly after her announcement, a power battle ensued behind the scenes to prevent her from reading the news. Rumors claimed this was as a result of pressure from the ruling government.
According to renowned investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, one of the powerful businessmen behind the TV Station stormed the studios in a motorcade to prevent the journalist from going on air.
It took protests from Good Morning Ghana host and the MD to ensure that Bridget wasn’t kicked out. The businessman bowed out following the bad press the TV Station was receiving as a result of the situation, Manasseh wrote.
Bridget who received enormous support on social media was however cleared to read the news.
In photos shared on social media, the outspoken journalist was all smiles as the storms following her new job calmed.
