Dee Aja

Musician Dee Aja who became popular a year ago after releasing ‘Onaapo’ singles for the leading opposition party, NDC has bemoaned the high cost of living after a change of government.

The singer speaking on Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi opined that he is not active in music again after the change of government because he is working on other jobs to feed himself since the cost of living is high under the new government. According to him, light and water bills have gone up so he needs to focus elsewhere to get enough cash to take care of himself.

Dee Aja further told  B Ice, the host of the show that it is not only utility bills which have experienced a rise in charges but the current price of milk and other products have also gone up.

“If I don’t take care, I’ll not be able to pay my light and water bills since they have gone up. Let me tell you somethig, when we were campaigning ahead of last year’s election, NPP promised to reduce the cost of products when they win but that is not happening.

At first I used to buy ideal milk for Gh2.20p but it is now GH3.50. Canation milk used to be GH1.80p but it is Gh2.80p which tells that price of goods are increasing and that proves that things are not going on well.” Dee Aja disclosed.

David Aja as he is known privately continued to say that he is praying for the ruling government to develop the country before 2020 when Ghanaians will go to the polls again.
