Ghanaian Highlife legend, Kojo Antwi has been honored with a key to the City of Worcester in the US.
The event, which took place on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, marked a significant recognition of Kojo Antwi’s remarkable contributions to music, culture, and the promotion of unity.
The ceremony was a star-studded affair, attended by distinguished guests and fans alike.

Among the luminaries present was Ghanaian Chief Nana Sompahene, known by his birth name Mr. Maxwell Agyemfra, who graced the event with his regal presence.
The charismatic gathering also welcomed the esteemed three-time two-division world boxing champion, Jose Antonio Rivera, demonstrating the cross-cultural impact and universal admiration that Kojo Antwi’s music has fostered.
Mr. Richard Kweku Boateng, the CEO of Big Shoes Entertainment & Anokyekrom Restaurants, added an entrepreneurial touch to the event, underlining the vital role of arts and culture in forging connections and driving economic growth.
Kojo Antwi, affectionately known as the “Maestro,” graciously accepted the Key to the City with humility and a profound sense of gratitude.

“I am truly honored to receive this Key to the City, and I am immensely grateful to Mayor Joseph M. Petty and the people of Worcester for this recognition,” Antwi remarked.
“Through my music, I have always aimed to spread love, compassion, peace, and harmony. This key symbolizes our shared commitment to these values and our determination to bridge cultures and communities through the power of music.”
Kojo Antwi’s music has been a conduit for conveying the vibrant cultural tapestry of Ghana and Africa to a global audience.
