Ghana is set to experience the maiden edition of the Top Chart Music Conference (#TCMC2017), on World Music Day, which falls on June 21.
It is the first Music Conference of its kind and promises to provide a platform where industry leaders, music lovers and stakeholders will join forces for a day of presentations, panel discussions, learning, and networking.
Participants will benefit from valuable information and share best practices from Okyeame Kwame, Jay Foley, Richie Mensah, John Armah, George Quaye and Bice Osei Kuffour (President, Musicians Union of Ghana) and Federico Masetti (Music Xchange, Italy), as they discuss the following topics: “Beats to Cedis”, “Artistes, Agents and Managers”, “Music as a Change Catalyst” and a special presentation on “The Evolution of The Music Business” by Aibee Olukun (General Manager, Chocolate City Group, Nigeria).
Aibee Olukun will be touching on the issue of why Nigerian Artistes are making huge strides and breaking into the International markets. With special attention to digital music business. She will highlight ways Ghanaian artistes can package themselves to take advantage of the digital music era and create partnerships with digital platforms and producers that can give them the expected exposure and the returns they want.
Prince Baah-Duodu, Team Lead on Top Chart GH, said that the camp is inspired by the fact that music can be used as an innovative tool to mobilize the energy and power of young people to create jobs and minimize poverty.
This is the empowering reason they are on a quest to create such a platform to enable stakeholders to Discover, Collaborate and Evolve in the industry.
Top Chart Music Conference (#TCMC2017) is powered by Top Chart GH and will take place at the Tulip Inn Hotel, Behind Gulf House, Shiashe, on World Music Day, June 21 at 10am.
