The much-publicized Kumawood movie, Tomorrow had a historic premiere at the Watch and Dine cinema at the Kumasi City Mall on Saturday, January 5.
The film produced by One Big Family, a WhatsApp group with Kumawood actors and crew as its members had hundreds of movie lovers trooping to the cinema to enjoy the film. According to information zionfelix.net gathered, hundreds of movie fans were still waiting to watch the film after the third showing but were asked to go home and return the next day, January 6.
One Big Family, a WhatsApp group created by actress Tracey Boakye we are told has actors, scriptwriters, directors, pastors, businessmen and other respected personalities from the local movie industry as its members. Some of the popular faces in the “Tomorrow” movie include Mercy Asiedu, Ellen Kyei White, Louisa Adinkra, Christiana Awuni, Frank Nero and many other moviemakers as members.
The movie “Tomorrow” is about “a young lady who lived in a village with her fiance planning to get married and later met a rich young man from America who also expressed interest in her making the girl confused as to who to marry.”
The premiere of “Tomorrow” we gather goes into the records of Watch and Dine cinema as the first film by a WhatsApp group to hit their cinema. Aside from that historic record, Tomorrow movie premiere also inks its name in the records of the cinema as one of the biggest premieres ever since the cinema started its operations.
Tracey Boakye who created the WhatsApp group in an Instagram post after the January 5 premiere gave thanks to God for the success of the premiere.
The film again shows on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
