Citi FM and Citi TV Journalist Umaru Sanda Amadu has hit back at critics mainly supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the unwarranted attacks directed at him since Friday.

The journalist came under fire for allegedly spreading fake news after he tweeted that the Speaker of Parliament has settled the majority-minority debate by declaring the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the majority group in parliament thereby making Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu the majority leader.

Reacting to his critics on Saturday, the Face to face host lashed out at the supporters of the NDC for lazying about during the campaign instead of spending the energy they are using to attack him now to campaign during the December 2020 elections.

He mocked them saying if they had worked hard, they could have beat the ruling NPP government with a huge margin that would have made it impossible for them to rig the elections.

“Dear NDC Supporters,if you had spent half the energy you’re using to insult me and other journalists on the campaigns of 2020, the party would have won at least, 138 seats with UNRIGABLE MARGINS so that this debate about MAJORITY and MINORITY wouldn’t arise,” Umaru wrote on Twitter.
