Kasapa Fm’s Entertainment Show host, Kojo Preko Dankwa has expressed worry over an allegation of bribery involving the Public Relations Officer of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), George Quaye and called for the latter’s sack with immediate effect.
According to him, the PRO’s comment on gospel artists giving bribe to be favoured to win awards is derogatory and undermines the credibility of the scheme.
Speaking on the most listened to Showbiz Show, Kasapa Entertainment, Saturday, Preko said he was dismayed by the fact that the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Ministry and other music institutions who are in partnership with VGMA have all kept quiet over the allegation.
He noted that the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is the biggest, most anticipated and most patronised Entertainment event on the Ghanaian Social calendar so demand an appropriate sanction for the spokeperson of the award.
“I’m shocked Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Ministry, entertainment critics and bloggers are quite about this disrespect and I will be surprised if he is not sacked from his work.”
