Kumawood-actor-cum-TV presenter, Big Akwes, has expressed his disapproval over the petition to the police by some Ghanaians for his arrest for playing a role in Nana Agradaa’s infamous sika gari scam.
Recall that when Nana Agradaa was arrested some months ago for duping some gullible and naive people with her sika gari scam, Big Akwes’ name was roped into the issue.

As proposed by these people, Big Akwes was also supposed to be prosecuted because he was Nana Agradaa’s righthand man during the peak of the sika gari scam.
Apparently, it’s assumed Big Akwes used his fame and influence to lure people into Nana Agrdaa’s trap hence he should endure the full weight of the law.
For the very first time, the controversial actor has addressed the issue and explained why he doesn’t deserve to be arrested or prosecuted.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Big Akwes clarified that he wasn’t a member of Nana Agradaa‘s sika gari team.
As claimed by him, he was just an ordinary TV presenter for her TV station and as his work demanded, he was supposed to interview her anytime she for an advertisement.
He further argued that if Ghanaians want him to be arrested and jailed, then Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and the other stars who also promoted Menzgold should suffer the same fate.
