Gospel musician Evangelist Diana Asamoah has strongly disagreed with claims suggesting that the Akufo-Addo-led government has failed the nation during its tenure as president.

On UTV’s United Showbiz last Saturday, September 30, 2023, the award-winning gospel musician turned into a proper defender of the NPP government as she sought to refute claims that the government has failed woefully.

While reacting to the backlash on the president by some panelists on the show, Diana Asamoah emphasized that the government’s implementation of the free Senior High School (SHS) initiative is a significant achievement that deserves recognition, despite the challenges facing the country.

Diana Asamoah directly challenged the assertions made by MC Yaa Yeboah, which appeared to criticize the government’s accomplishments on the show.

She urged MC Yaa Yeboah, who identifies as a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to show gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for introducing free SHS.

Diana Asamoah stated, “I don’t understand what my sister, MC Yaa Yeboah, is saying because my father, Akufo-Addo, has performed admirably. It’s frustrating to hear you criticize the Party and everything. Your negative comments bother me. Are you saying Akufo-Addo hasn’t achieved anything? Do you know how many children are benefiting from free Senior High School (SHS)?”

“Don’t make such remarks again. He has done a great job. If it were your father, you wouldn’t speak ill of him. His greatest achievement is the provision of free SHS, and we should stop being ungrateful and appreciate him,” she emphasized.

Diana Asamoah ended by saying: “If you say Akufo-Addo has done nothing, what do you mean? Do you know the amount of money supporting children to go to school? You cannot say that about your father. We should be grateful and stop being ungrateful.”
