In an exclusive interview with Power FM, hosted by Agyeman Prempeh, Ghanaian musician Ras Kuuku boldly declared Daddy Lumba, known in private life as Charles Kwadwo Fosu, as the greatest musician in the country.
Ras Kuuku while making his submission emphasized that Daddy Lumba’s dominance extends beyond personal preferences, pointing to the the fact that his music is the most played on radio and TV across Ghana.
According to Ras Kuuku, Daddy Lumba’s songs consistently top charts, making him a household name and a staple in the daily musical diet of Ghanaians.
Acknowledging the greatness of other legendary musicians such as Kojo Antwi and Amakye Dede, Ras Kuuku clarified that his choice was not a dismissal of their contributions to the Ghanaian music scene. He noted that these musicians, along with the contemporaries of Daddy Lumba, have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the industry.
However, Ras Kuuku highlighted specific factors that, in his opinion, elevate Daddy Lumba to a pedestal above the rest.
