Emefa Adeti, the 2012 winner of TV3’s much-toucted beauty pageant, Ghana’s Most Beautiful has shared an intriguing story of how her sugar daddy alias ‘papa no’ took back all the sweet goodies she got for her when they were together because she refused to be his second wife.
Speaking in an interview on Adom TV, the current co-host of Joy Prime TV’s ‘Prime Morning’ revealed that her ‘papa no’ who sponsored her in the GMB competition dragged her out of the house like a fowl when she told him that she wasn’t ready to be his second wife.
She added that the proposal of marriage from this rich and old sponsor came out as shocking news to her because at the time she was still in school.
From the video sighted, Emefa said: “I was very young, after the competition he asked my hand in marriage but I said no because my vision was big at that time. He was a grown man, people say I should have seen the signs with all the support he provided but I didn’t know.”
Emefa further emphasized that her decision to reject this proposal, even though it made her lose all the goodies she had has been by far one of the best decisions she has taken.
“It was a good decision because I don’t think I could have been able to go back to school,” she said and added that: “It was one of the most difficult phases in my life because I had a lot of public attention at the time. He really spoilt me with gifts, cars among others. Within a split of a second, I lost everything. He took all the things he had given me. I just woke up one morning to realize that he has taken everything. I had to start everything from the scratch again so I went back to school,”
I guess her case is just one of the few which will end this way because over the years, many of the people who have come to love and cherish for the things they do on TV especially have confirmed that they have rich sponsors who fund their lavish lifestyle and that they are proud of it.
