Earlier this year, Ghanaian actor and comedian, Frank Naro shocked many netizens when he shared flyers of his intention to contest for the parliamentary seat in the Ejisu constituency as an independent candidate during the 2024 general elections.
This unexpected leap into the political arena prompted widespread curiosity, with many eager to understand the motivation behind Naro’s bold move.

In an nterview with Zionfelix on the Uncut show, Frank Naro finally explained the motives behind the decision.
Shedding light on a crucial influence behind his foray into politics, Frank Naro revealed that the counsel of the governor of New Jersey, USA was the main reason why he has decided to venture into politics.
Frank Naro attributed his meeting with the governor and other influential political figures to the efforts of his sister, Nana Ama.
He mentioned that Nana Ama, who happens to be the owner of an African and Jamaican fusion restaurant in New Jersey, served as the conduit that led led him to the corridors of power.
According to him, during these discussions, he was privy to invaluable insights shared by the governor regarding the nuances of political navigation.
He mentioned that the governor not only provided wisdom but also proffered guidance on the trajectory that Naro’s political career could take.

Notably, the governor and other political stalwarts suggested that Naro should consider contesting the Ejisu parliamentary seat because of his family background in community development fueled this decision.
Frank revealed that the governor highlighted the impactful contributions of his mother and uncle, Okese, within the constituency as the main factors that must propel him.
The “Koom” crooner expressed his aspirations to advocate for the youth of Ejisu, aiming to channel his energy and vision into uplifting and empowering the area’s younger generation.
