Ghanaian actor cum entrepreneur, John Dumelo, has come out to finally clear the air on reports that he supposedly gave his friend and colleague, Fred Nuamah, his blessings to contest as MP on the ticket of the NDC in the Ayawaso West Waguon constituency.
When Fred Nuamah’s flyers indicated that he was ready to contest as MP for the seat which is currently occupied by the NPP’s Lydia Alhassan surfaced online, many people were taken by surprise.
The surprise of numerous people was born out of the fact that John Dumelo, who is a close friend of the CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards contested as MP for the same seat in the 2020 general election, and also, the former had not come out to state that he was not going to contest for the seat in 2024.
Fred Nuamah however came out to offer a sharp response to these questions by revealing that John Dumelo reportedly told him that he was not going to contest for the seat in 2024.
Well, in a sharp response to this claim by Fred, the award-winning actor while speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz show stated categorically that his best man during his wedding is lying through his teeth.
According to Dumelo, there has not been a single moment he told Fred he will not contest for the seat.
He added that just about two months ago, Fred Nuamah called him and pledge to support his bid for the seat.
John also revealed that Fred was his surprise birthday and party recently and at the time, he was still aware that he was coming back to contest the seat in 2024 and questioned why his friend will then come out and say he said he will not contest.
The respected farmer bitterly disclosed that he was no longer friends with Fred Nuamah.
