The CEO of Golden Movie Awards, Mimi Andani Michaels, has announced that she will never organize her Golden Movie Awards again.
She made this announcement on Saturday, April 29, 2023, when she was interviewed by Kwame Dadzie, on Joy FM’s ‘Showbiz A-Z’ show.
According to her, she is not organizing the awards again because she has never got the needed financial support from cooperate Ghana in the last seven years she has put the event together.
Mimi added that over the years she spends over Ghc600,000 to put the event together herself and added that no one has ever bothered to inquire how she gets that whooping sum of money to put the event together.
She went further to state that it has been a herculean task for her over the years to keep the event going on because she has never gotten the support she needed to make it happen annually.
When Kwame Dadzie asked her if the entertainers have however been giving her the support she needs, Mimi was quick to respond in the affirmative.
Mimi Andani mentioned that over the years all the players in the acting space have shown her a lot of support without taking a pesewa from her.
