Fuseini Siaka, a 36-year-old painter from Barekese, a Kumasi suburb, have made headlines in the last 24 hours after it was reported that he has won a staggering GH¢6 million from an online bet with BetPawa.
Siaka, who is reported to have previously been employed as a painter shared his disbelief at winning the GH¢6 million with just a GH¢40 bet. “I thought it was a dream,” he confessed.
According to various reports online, BetPawa reportedly assured him of the legitimacy of his winnings via a phone call, and a GH¢6 million cheque was presented to him during a ceremony at the Holiday Inn hotel in Accra.
As part of his prize package, Siaka received a VVIP ticket to watch his favorite team, Hearts of Oak, play against Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium. Additionally, he was gifted an iPhone Pro Max. Siaka, accompanied by his sister, brother, and friend, expressed hopes that the windfall would positively impact his life and that of his family.
Despite the celebratory atmosphere, some netizens have raised eyebrows, deeming the win too improbable.
Some have suggested that the claims that he slept off and woke up to winning that whopping is quite false.
As people continue to question the authenticity of these reports, a video has been circulated online that captures the moment Siaka was flew to Accra aboard a private jet, organized by the betting platform.
