At a time a lot of Ghanaians are up in arms against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over their decision to introduce a 1.75% fee on electronic transactions, popular gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has asked that Ghanaians should stop ranting and accept it in good faith.
Speaking with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show recently, she said that all over the world, taxes are required for the government to be able to fully deliver on its mandate to the citizenry.
She also cited her recent visit to Italy, where throughout her stay there she was required to pay 10 Euros as toll fees for every stop she made in the country because that is what the government uses to do all the developmental projects the citizens enjoy.
The ‘Anopa Wim’ singer stressed that if Ghanaians should understand the nitty-gritty of the e-levy and accept it, it will bring a lot of change in the country because there will be jobs and money for everyone in Ghana.
