According to Wayoosi, whose political journey dates back to the early 2000s, he was unwavering in his allegiance and was willing to stand by the party at any given time.

Despite his initial enthusiasm and dedication, Wayoosi expressed profound disappointment in the aftermath.
He revealed that since NAPO assumed office as MP, not once has he been able to communicate directly with him for more than 30 seconds.
The popular actor added that Every attempt to reach out has been met with excuses, with NAPO citing constant engagements and meetings.

For Wayoosi, this neglect and lack of communication amounted to betrayal.
He stressed that he felt used and discarded after having played a pivotal role in NAPO’s political success and as such, he stopped supporting the political party.
Ahead of the 2024 general election, Wayoosi has announced his intention to cast his vote for the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.
For him, this endorsement simply shows a desire to see a change in leadership and a return to what he perceives as a more responsive and accountable governance.
