Ghanaian rap sensation King Paluta has revealed that he regrets ever collaborating with music duo Keche on their single “My Father” .
The “Sika Aba Fie” hitmaker made this statement in an exclusive interview with renowned Ghanaian blogger Ameyaw Deborah on the A-Z Show.
King Paluta made the remark when Ameyaw Debrah asked him if he has ever regretted collaborating with any artist.
According to King Paluta, his regret stems from the way Keche, particularly Keche Joshua, went on rampage, releasing videos to call him out for not showing up for the official music video shoot of the song.
According to the 2024 TGMA New Artist of the Year, at the time the duo requested his presence for the shoot, he was seriously ill and confined to his sicked, a situation he claims he clearly explained to the duo.
“I told them I was sick. I was on my sickbed, yet I still picked up a call from them just to make them understand my situation,” he stated.
He added that what hurt him the most was the fact that he did the feature for free, without any conversation about splitting royalties or negotiating a percentage from whatever revenue the song would generate.
“I didn’t take a dime for the feature. We never discussed any money or percentages from the song, so for them to treat me like that was pure bullish!t,” he fumed.
King Paluta, visibly disappointed, concluded that the incident has left a bitter taste in his mouth, and he strongly doubts he would ever collaborate with Keche again.
