The 2018 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), which is the first time ever the event was hosted outside Nigeria, came off yesterday November 24, 2018, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The AFRIMA, like any other event in Ghana, witnessed celebrities put on their glam game as fashion was fully displayed on the red carpet and other places at the event. The red carpet session saw a host of African celebrities, and in particular, Ghanaian celebs show off what they have in their wardrobes. One will have to admit it was a wonderful spectacle to behold as the glam on the red carpet showed how fashionable the celebrities are.
Aside the beautiful display of clothes on the red carpet by celebrities, the AFRIMA also gave all who were in attendance some spectacular musical performances. The likes of Mr. Eazi, King Promise, DJ Switch, Stonebwoy, Wiyaala, Tufaan, and many others got all who were in the conference center dancing their hearts out as they performed their great songs.
According to reports, Ghana pumped in about some $700,000 into the event which saw some of our stars pick up some awards. although a majority of the honours went outside the country, some of the Ghanaian winners on the night included Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, M.anifest, Shatta Wale, Kidi, Kuami Eugene and the legendary Teddy Osei of Osibisa was also presented with a special award.
