The entrance exams have consistently generated debates over the years due to the mass failure of students. Last year, only 128 students passed the exams, out of the 1820 who sat for it.
According to John Dumelo, the country is losing good lawyers as a result of the menace. He lamented that those who fail the entrance exams will be branded as failures in the near future.
He called on the regulatory body, the General Legal Council to expand its facilities and accredit more schools to offer professional legal education.
In an Instagram post, John Dumelo added that he doesn’t believe that the rest of the 2824 failed the exams.
He predicted that more than half of those who failed the exams will move out of the country and pay more for the professional legal education.
