Budding songstress Iona has lashed out at musician Wendy Shay for her recent comments.
The Rufftown Records signee recently made some revelations about her fiscal strength in an interview.
When asked about what material possessions she could boast of since gaining prominence in the industry, Wendy proudly said she could buy latest iphone brands and desired cameras.
Iona who identifies Wendy as a mentor expressed her huge disappointment at Wendy for probably saying her truth.
In a video rant sighted by zionfelix.net, Iona said Wendy’s admission could discourage other budding artistes from pursuing music.
In her words, “if Wendy who is the biggest female act in Ghana can only afford iphones and cameras then what hope is there for upcoming artistes?”
Iona believes this it is just a publicity stunt and she accordingly condemned Wendy for it. She admonished Wendy and indeed all industry players to quit riding on negative publicity for clout.
