Before the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, the Album of the Year was part of the categories that Black Sherif hoped to win.
The young musician disclosed his expectation in an interview with ZionFelix.
On the awards night, he won three awards—namely, Artiste of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Song and Vodafone Most Popular Song.
Speaking in an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3 after his victory, Sherif was asked about how he felt when he could win the Album of the Year.
The ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ singer stated that he was waiting to hear his name be when that didn’t happen, he said ‘Yawa’.
Black Sherif added that he was not disappointed because every nominee put in work and deserved to win.
He further talked about his love for King Promise’s ‘5 Star’ album which won over his.
