The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has asked any popular entertainer or individual who feels that their decision to ban Ghanaian celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages.

The ban was instituted in 2015 and according to the FDA at the time, the ban was in adherence to a World Health Organisation policy.

Ever since the ban, Ghanaian celebrities like Wendy Shay, Shatta Wale, and others who have been affected one way of the other have been fighting for it to be dropped but it seems the FDA is not perturbed at all.

In an interview with Accra FM’s Nana Romeo earlier today, a spokesperson of the FDA said that they can sue and be sued so anybody who feels that they have erred by following their policy can go to court and seek redress.

Asked if anybody has walked that path yet, the FDA spokesperson quickly replied with an emphatic NO.
