Zylofon Arts Fund which aims at growing the Ghanaian creative arts industry with much focus on the movie sector has knocked at the doors of owners of Watch & Dine cinema in Kumasi.
Zionfelix.net is told that reps of Zylofon Arts Fund met top officials of the company over the weekend to discuss the possible ways of helping filmmakers in the region.
Osei Agyemang Dua who represented owners of the cinema we are told was happy to have a chat with the fund reps when they visited them to discuss the several ways of saving the dying movie industry.
As part of the conversation which ensued between the parties, Zionfelix.net gathers that the fund officials which included Nana Brew and Frank Kwabena Owusu asked Watch & Dine Cinema to slash cash they demand from moviemakers who hire the hall to show their movies. This they believe will give room for moviemakers to access the cinema to premiere their movies.
Aside from the plea, Zylofon Arts Fund we are told promised to pump money into the operations of the Watch & Dine Cinema at the Kumasi City Mall and help with the day-to-day affairs of the venue.
Below are photos from the meeting Watch and Dine Cinema had with Zylofon Arts Fund.
